From September 22-25th, 2011 the town of Cassis has organised a festival dedicated to wine and flavours. Targeted to those passionate about both food and wine, the Star Studded Grape Harvest offers tastings throughout the town and surrounding vineyards.
Michelin Star chef Alain Passard (3 Michelin Star Restaurant l’Arpège) is the host of the event. Other participants include chefs Mathieu Viannay (2 Michelin star restaurant La Mère Brazier), Christophe Bacquié (2 Michelin star Restaurant le Montecristo in Le Castellet), Jean-Marc Banzo (2 Michelin star restaurant La Villa Madie in Cassis and Le Clos de la Violette in Aix en Provence) as well as renowned sommeliers and 12 local vineyards.
These big names in gastronomy have agreed to share their savoir faire during cooking demonstrations and cookery lessons. Wine tastings and lessons on oenology are also planned.
