France's Largest Picnic

Pack a picnic and head out to one of 32 participating vineyards (in Provence) on May 26, 27 or 28th. You bring the food, family and friends and the winemakers will throw in the wine, the atmosphere and a beautiful setting for a perfect day in Provence.

The Independant Wine Makers Association (Vigneron Indépendant) all over France are taking part so if you plan on being in a different region of France you can find vineyards from all regions including Alsace, Burgundy, Champagne, Loire to Bordeaux by going to the following website. www.vigneron-independant.com/pique-nique In addition to free wine tastings you can take part in wine cellar tours and walks through the vines and learn more about wine making in general.

In Provence if you want to tie in picnic, wine and beach I recommend you try Domaine de la Bastide Blanche in La Croix Valmer located just above the Cap Lardier with stunning view of the St. Tropez peninsula or Domaine Les Fouques in Hyères.
